For this particular essay (pictured above), I chose to integrate the title directly into the three-column grid. By confining the title, description, and byline within the same rigid structure as the body text, I wanted to reflect the expectations placed on women to conform to uniform roles.
I carried this approach into the pull quotes as well, intentionally moving away from the publication’s established design formula to reinforce the concept through layout.
