For the CIDBIA (Chinatown-International District Business Improvement Area) Lunar New Year celebration, I designed a series of graphics across print and digital platforms to support event marketing. Centered around a bold and whimsical stylized horse illustration, I aimed to balance cultural references with a modern, approachable aesthetic, creating a cohesive system that translated seamlessly across posters, social media, and promotional materials while capturing the energy and spirt of the event.

As part of the celebration, I also developed graphics for the Lunar New Year Food Walk, which featured 53 neighborhood businesses offering $8 specials to encourage exploration of the district.

I designed a series of social media graphics to promote the event across platforms. The posts balanced bold typography, festive color, and clear information hierarchy to highlight featured vendors, the food walk menu, and event details, creating a cohesive and recognizable presence online.
From 100+ arts and crafts booths and food vendors to nonprofit community tables and 50+ local small business food walk stops, nearly 40,000 people gathered in the neighborhood to celebrate and ring in the Year of the Horse.
Problem to solve: The annual Lunar New Year celebration in Seattle's International District needed cohesive event branding that could promote the event online and throughout the neighborhood while helping vendors, businesses, and attendees stay informed leading up to the celebration.
Solution: I helped create graphics and marketing materials for the event, including social media assets, posters, flyers, merch, and informational materials used throughout the festival. The branding helped create a festive and recognizable visual identity while encouraging community engagement, cross-promotion, and strong attendance for the celebration.
